Fantasy Hockey is Back
(01/06/12) Sound the alarm! The NHL is back. There are still some details to take care of, but for all intents and purposes, the NHL and NHLPA have come to an agreement to end the lockout. And that means Fantasy Hockey Standard is ready to kick into high gear.
Details of the agreement have not been announced, nor have the specifics regarding the beginning of training camps, but training camps should open in the coming week, and the season should get underway between Jan. 15th and 19th. The exodus from Europe, Russia and the AHL is already underway as players make their way back to North America from around the globe.
The team here at Fantasy Hockey Standard has been following the lockout with a microscope, and we've already released our first update for the 2013 Draft Guide. If you already purchased your copy in the summer, simply log back in to your account and download the updated files. (If you've used your 10 downloads and need more, just shoot us an email and we'll hook you up). We'll continue to add to the updated version in the next two weeks, and we'll also be completely overhauling our player projections and rankings based on the shorter season (we're working on it as we speak). This update will factor in all the latest injury news, transactions, and the highs and lows from Europe, the KHL, and the AHL.
It's been a rollercoaster of an off-season and the print magazines are six months out of date, but Fantasy Hockey Standard is the only draft guide that's fully current with the latest information. Plus, it's available for instant download immediately. Once you complete your purchase, you'll be able to start preparing for your draft within a few moments, and you'll receive the updated version and all further updates absolutely free.
Or, if you're just looking for cheat sheets, we'll also be releasing our annual cheat sheet package as soon as possible. We're already locked in the war room tweaking our numbers and predictions, so stay tuned for the release in the next few days - it won't be long.
