Standard Spin: Brian Elliot was acquired by St.Louis in the off-season after being traded by the Sens to the Avs at the end of 2010-11.  And let's face it: Elliot was an after thought.  The expectation was that Halak would get his game together and play like he did for Montreal a couple seasons back, but not so fast.  Brian Elliot is quickly turning the goaltending-by-committee approach in St. Louis into a one man show.  Elliot currently leads the NHL in shutouts, goals-against-average and save-percentage with a record of 12-2-0.
