Larsson Notches Goal in First Playoff Game
(5/2/12) Rookie defenseman Adam Larsson saw his first action of the playoffs last night, and he took full advantage of the opportunity, logging five hits and scoring his first ever postseason goal in a 4-1 Devils' win over the Flyers. Larsson also recorded two shots and a plus-two rating.
A spot in the lineup opened up thanks to an injury to Ilya Kovalchuk (D-man Peter Harrold was bumped up to the wing), so Larsson may find himself a healthy scratch once again when Kovie is able to return, but hey, it's an encouraging sign for Larsson's keeper league owners, and it's a reminder to keep his name in the back of your mind going into drafts next year.
He managed a respectable 18 points in 65 games as a 19-year old rookie, and the future looks bright. Here's the goal...
