Heavyweight Title Up for Grabs

(2/23/12) Zenon Konopka lost the PIM lead to Derek Dorsett last week, and he's now in danger of losing the lead in fighting majors as well.  For now, Konopka still sits at the top of the heap with 17 fights, but Shawn Thornton is only one back at 16, and Dorsett and Brandon Prust are also in striking distance at 15 and 14 fights respectively.

Until recently, Konopka looked like a lock to take both categories by a landslide, but suddenly he's been rocked like Mike Tyson on the business end of a Buster Douglas upper-cut.  Konopka was a healthy scratch for the sixth consecutive game Wednesday, and the Senators seem to have decided the best way to earn a playoff berth is to sacrifice the guy with the head-bashing skill in favor of players who can actually play hockey.  Considering Ottawa is 5-0-1 without the reigning champ, it looks like the heavyweight title is officially up for grabs...
