Two More for Stamkos

(4/3/12) Steve Stamkos notched two more goals Monday - his 57th and 58th of the season - continuing his assault on the 60-plateau.  He broke a 2-2 TB-WAS tie with barely over a minute to play in the third period, and then picked up a garbage-time empty-netter to seal a 4-2 Lightning win.

With three games to go, we'll bet the farm that Stamkos becomes the first player to hit the 60-mark since Alex Ovechkin recorded 65 in 2007-08.  Stamkos has eight goals in his last six games, and he gets to face three non-playoff teams - Montreal, Toronto, and Winnipeg - in his final three contests.  Much like Ovie did back then, Stamkos is lapping the field - he's 10 goals ahead of 2nd place (Malkin) and 20 goals clear of anyone outside the top four.
