Brodeur Earns Shutout, Tweaks Ankle

Standard Spin: Devils goalie Martin Brodeur sat out Wednesday's practice to rest, after he reportedly tweaked his ankle in Tuesday's 1-0 shutout of the Rangers.  The injury isn't believed to be serious, and he didn't seem too concerned in his post-game interview, but he is considered questionable for Thursday's game.

And at least one person doesn't think Brodeur will play, as Johan Hedberg let it slip to the Star-Ledger that he, not Brodeur, will get the start Thursday, saying, "I'm playing tomorrow.  Marty looked like he had some discomfort during the game.  I don't know if he's good to go or not, but I'm told to play."

Devils coach Peter DeBoer would not confirm which goalie would get the nod, but by the sound of it, fantasy owners should prepare to be without Brodeur for at least a game or two.  (2/8/12)
