Daniel Sedin Not Travelling to LA
(4/14/12) NHL.com is reporting that Daniel Sedin will not travel with the Canucks to LA for Game 3 of their series with the Kings. Sedin is dealing with a concussion that he suffered thanks to the elbow of Duncan Keith; Sedin has been out since March 21st.
Without Daniel in the line-up, the Canucks' entire roster is in disarray. Most of the line combinations appear ad hoc, and the team's second tier players (Kesler, Booth, Higgins, Burrows, Raymond) are playing like they're overburdened by the need to pick up the slack. Worse yet, the Canucks' powerplay is suddenly more of a liability than a plus. Vancouver was 0 for 5 with the man advantage in Game 2, and they even gave up 2 shorthanded goals.
If the Canucks can't find a new way to win, they're in danger of being swept by the Kings, meaning all hopes for 2012 could be dashed as quickly as this Tuesday.
