Hall done for the Year, Bryzgalov has Foot Fracture
(3/27/12) We have a couple of late injury updates today, as we now know Ilya Bryzgalov suffered a foot fracture during the pre-game warm-up last night. The injury is not believed to be serious - it's just a chipped bone - and Bryzgalov is day-to-day. He is confirmed out for Thursday's game, but beyond that his status is up in the air. In the meantime, Sergei Bobrovsky will be between the pipes for the Flyers.
If you own Bryzgalov, we'd recommend moving to secure Bobrovsky immediately. The Flyers are all but locked in as the 5th seed, so they don't have much incentive to rush Bryzgalov back into action. Expect to see a lot of Bobrovsky over the final six games.
We can also confirm that Oilers forward Taylor Hall is done for the season. He'll have surgery to repair a partially torn labrum - which he suffered back in Junior - and he'll be shut down for the next 5-6 months. Hall is also dealing with concussion symptoms, and that may have factored into his decision to go under the knife now, instead of waiting to the end of the season.
