THURS Injury Update: Couturier, Radulov, Kostitsyn

(5/3/12) If you own Alex Radulov or Andrei Kostitsyn, go ahead and trash the pretend dressing room.  Garbage can, smash!  Wave the white towel!  On behalf of fantasy owners everywhere we ask you Barry Trotz, what are you doing to us?

Trotz and Nashville GM David Poille apparently hate fantasy hockey, because they're considering leaving Radulov and Kostitsyn in the press box for a second consecutive game.  The pair were suspended for Game 3 of the Predators-Coyotes series for missing curfew, and it's now looking like they'll be out once again.

In all seriousness though, the Predators did take Game 3 without the pair, and it's admirable that management is sticking to their principles and winning with character.  But really... couldn't they just throw fantasy owners a bone?

In other news, Sean Couturier suffered an injury tonight during Game 3 of the Flyers-Devils series.  He left the game during the second period and will not return.  He got tangled with David Clarkson and left the ice without putting weight on his left foot.  The early speculation is that he was cut, although there's no official word on the exact injury as of yet.

Meanwhile, Ilya Kovachuk is back in action after missing game two with a back injury.  He has a goal and an assist half way through the third period, so luckily it doesn't seem to be slowing him too much.

In the late game, the Blues will have defenseman Alex Pietrangelo back in the line-up after he missed Game 2 with an upper-body injury.  However, Jason Arnott is out of action and listed as day-to-day with a lower-body ailment.

That's all for now, we'll follow up on the Couturier injury tomorrow...
