Tyler Kennedy Out 4-6 Weeks, Staal Needs Stitches
Standard Spin: Tyler Kennedy is out 4-6 weeks with a high ankle sprain. He sustained the injury on Sunday against Devils, and he is out until mid-to-late March.
Teammate Jordan Staal took a high-stick to face during practice Thursday and was cut badly enough to require stitches. He's missed the last 15 games with a knee sprain, but it appears he's on track to return this weekend. Head coach Dan Bylsma said Staal would be fine after the high-stick, and it's expected Staal will be ready to go for Saturday's tilt against the Jets. (2/9/12)
