Nugent-Hopkins Injures Shoulder

Standard Spin: Ryan Nugent-Hopkins was seen with his arm in a sling Tuesday and is out for tonight's game against the Sabres.  The injury occured Monday against the Blackhawks when he caught an edge and landed awkwardly on his left shoulder.  The extent of the damage is unknown, but Oilers coach Tom Renney told the Edmonton Journal, "He has a sore shoulder.  Until we get the medical information, I don't know what to tell you.  He could be out a couple of games for sure, but he could go beyond that."  Renney also indicated Nugent-Hopkins could be sent back to Edmonton for the remainder of current road trip saying, "If he's not likely to play on the rest of the trip, we have to entertain sending him home.  If there's a chance (to play Saturday) then maybe we'll keep him here."  Stay tuned for more info, but it sounds like fantasy owners need to prepare to be without their young phenom for the next week or so at least.  (Jan.3)
