Henrique Misses Practice, Zajac Still Not Skating
Standard Spin: Devils rookie Adam Henrique did not participate in the All-star Weekend, and he sat out practice again Monday. He's been slowed by a groin strain the last couple of weeks - he missed two games, then returned for three, before sitting out the break - and it looks like he could miss a couple more starts. The Devils play Tuesday and Thursday, and Henrique should be considered questionable for both of those contests.
Teammate Travis Zajac also remains out with a leg injury and has not resumed skating. Zajac tore his achilles during training camp, made a brief eight game return at the end of December, and has now sat out another ten games with general soreness and lack of strength in his leg. He's a player we had high hopes for this year, but the longer this drags on, the more it looks like the season is lost. He could still pop up as an impact player in the final month or so, but considering his recovery is so far off track, that seems highly unlikely. (1/30/12)
